I never post 5 stars but this place is definitely worthy. They hit on all areas. Owner David was behind the bar making drinks, talking to everyone and was super friendly. Addressed all his regulars by name too. Ordered the steak and wings pictured. Everything was delicious and very affordable. Service.... perfect... friendly, knew the menu and made informative suggestions. I would recommend this place to anyone who wanted a nice night out. I frequently stay in the area for work and this place is making me rethink the two I stay in. I would drive here from far just for the food and service. That speaks volumes. Check it out you won't be disappointed
We found David's Food and Spirits when staying overnight on a trip home from being out west. The food was delicious, service was friendly and attentive. We met David, the owner, and he went out of his way to make sure everything was exceptional. We ate at the bar, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was friendly and inviting. We would definitely be regulars at this restaurant, if we lived in the area.
We love coming here! The place is cozy & clean. Best place in Pontiac if you’re looking for good steak, fried chicken, or pasta! You’ll never have a bad meal. Keara is our favorite waitress! She is so kind and attentive. The owner is also very friendly!
Outstanding! We're passing through and needed dinner. A local recommended David's. Wow. The steak was perfect. The chicken parm huge. Both delicious and not overly expensive. Service was great. Definitely recommend.
We were staying over in Pontiac for the night on a route 66 trip. We looked up local restaurants and found David's Food and Spirits to be highly recommended, so we found our way to this restaurant. The atmosphere was great. We were made to feel like valued customers. The entire staff and the owner David all were wonderful, attentive and friendly. The meal was delicious and plentiful. The potato soup was delicious and the chicken fettuccine was also so very good. If I was a native of Pontiac, I definitely would be a regular customer at this wonderful establishment.
We were traveling from St. louis to Coloma Michigan for a vacation, Pontiac being midway. David’s Food and Spirits started our trip with perfection. As we walked in we were greeted by smiling faces. Our waitress was so kind and helpful. She took great care of us. And the other waitresses came to our table to make sure we had enough water and if we needed anything. We had the fried chicken which was divine. To top the evening off the owner came to our table with a bowl full of chocolates to pick one out and thanking us for coming. The food was wonderful but the kindness we felt was memorable. We highly recommend David’s to all.
Absolutely fire food. Wooow. I had the seafood pasta and dang was it good. I literally ate every bite. The breakstick was also amazing and delicious. From the outside it seems so small and packed. But on the inside the it is magical. Met the owner and couldn't be more impressed with his establishment. Absolutely amazing! Would return again.
I liked the vibe of the restaurant, staff and the owner. I had the lasagna rollups. I’d order it again. Suggestion to make it better: add to the marinara oregano, basil, garlic powder, onions and tomato pieces. It needs more flavor.
